Nats vs Phillies

Rich got 4 tickets to the Nationals vs Phillies baseball game on Sunday, so we decided to take both of the big boys {while E stayed next door with his girlfriend}.  G had gone with Rich a few weeks ago, but H had no idea what to expect.  He kept asking all morning if he was going to get to play baseball, and when I'd answer no, he'd ask if we were going to watch G play baseball.  Sweet baby.

Our seats were perfect.  We were behind homeplate, but a little down the first base line, and a perfect spot for the illusive foul balls from the lefties.  The first one might have been ours, had Rich not been on a lemonade/beer run.  The guy in our row - the owner of the leg that's in front of G's chest in the above picture - got it.  So close.

The weather was perfect and we had a great time.  And this guy loved getting to be a "big boy"!

15 months

Easton!! You're

FIFTEEN MONTHS OLD!!!

What you're up to these days:

* You're 22.12lbs (20-25 %) and 30.5 inches tall (50 %).

* You're wearing 24 months clothes and some 2T shirts, and size 5 shoes {which you're finally wearing almost daily now}.

* You are a really good eater and will eat almost anything we put in front of you.  Your favorites are: string cheese, fruit {any kind}, rice, edamame, popsicles, and anything your brothers have.

* You are still a good sleeper . . . usually 10 hours at night and a 3 hour nap.

* You moved rooms this month - now you're in with Garrett.  He was having a hard time letting Hudson sleep, so we mixed things up.  Knock on wood, so far he's left you alone {not counting one morning he carried you into my room at 6:45.  I don't even want to know how he got you out of the bed.

* You are such a happy guy.  98% of the time you just smile.

* This month was a busy one for you - you cut all 4 molars and your eye teeth are trying hard to make their appearances.  Mommy can't wait until they're all finally in.

* You think you're a big boy and can do anything your brothers can.

* You LOVE animals.  Any time you see one you start making kissing noises, indicating you want to kiss them/for them to lick your face.  We babysat the neighbor's cat while they were at the beach and to say you were obsessed would be an understatement.

* You still don't say much, but comprehend everything.  You regularly say: jus {juice} - which could be juice or anything you want, food or otherwise; ball, hi, bye, and "ga" - which can mean 'go' or 'good' depending on the moment.

* You LOVE to help.  When you want "jus", I'll tell you to go get your bottle and you'll take off to do so.  Once you bring it back, you'll try to open the refrigerator then want me to hand you the bottle of juice.  You'll take 2 steps then hand it back to me, but then I have to give it back so you can carry it the 2 steps back to the refrigerator.  After we're all done you'll close the door for me.

* All Daddy has to say is "Do you want to wrestle?" and you take off down the hallway to our bedroom where chaos ensues.

* You love the water and being outside.  I think you'd stay there all day if we'd let you.

* You are busy.  So, so busy.

* You finally went on a boat last weekend in Charlottesville.  You were significantly older than your brothers for your first time, but you have just as good of sea legs as they do.

* You love your brothers and want to do everything they do, and be wherever they are.

* No matter where we are, if we say "nigh-night, baby" you'll lay your head down and pretend to sleep.

* We were at a playdate last week and your found a baby doll.  You layed in the middle of the kitchen floor with it for several minutes.

* Your similarities to Hudson clearly did not end with the looks. Lord, help us.

I can't believe how quickly you're growing and how fast time is flying.  I treasure the moments you still act like my baby, for I know they'll be gone before I blink.  We love you, "Beat'n"!  More than much!!

Lake Monticello, Vol. 2

Last weekend we took a trip to Lake Monticello again for another weekend of relaxation, good food, good company, phenomenal weather, lots of swimming, "canyon balls", and a little booze cruising.  I think it's safe to say it was, again, a hit!

Remind you of anything?
Circa 2011

"painting" the deck.  kept 'em busy for an hour!  Thanks, Oma!

The Munchkin on his maiden voyage.

H thought it was pretty funny to be allowed to . . . take care of business . . . in the water.

Garrett loves driving in circles.
Aunt Shannon does not like driving in circles.

We had another great time at The Landslide Inn.  I think this should definitely become a yearly retreat!
